Richard Doucette – Master Carpenter

At the young age of 15, Richard decided he wanted to be a carpenter. He lived in Berwick Maine and worked in a lumber yard during his junior and senior years of high school and graduated at Sanford Vocational Tech in 1974 in the top 10% of his class. After that he worked for Prime Tanning, a leathery tanner and was the building maintenance supervisor for 7 years.

He then opened Richard Doucette General Contracting Corporation at age 25, in Massachusetts where he employed 15 – 20 people and his revenue was 5-6 Million, which he grew from the ground up for over 18 years. He then moved to Concord, CA where he worked for Armison Development and was the Project Manager and specialized in hands on custom high end craftsmanship for about a year. He also worked for Ringleg furniture in Gloucester Mass for 6 months.

In 1998 he moved to Orlando Fl and worked for Associated Specialties of FL as a Superintendent and then was hired on by the Diaz Fritz Group which he took care of all custom furniture both residential and commercial work. This included building all furniture, entertainment centers, custom cabinetry and custom built kitchens, just to name a few. This is where Richard became friends/business associates with Ted Boyd of Quality Construction and Maintenance Inc. and thus have evolved a long standing business relationship for the past 15 years.
